During the real use of perSimplex product cases happen when the input data contain either unknown or non-found values. Different questionnaires and polls, when the interviewees do not provide answers for all questions or there are other reasons precluding the collection of all data.
The assignment of unknown value to the individual columns of the input file is executed within the perSimplex product directly in the first row of the CSV input file. The unknown value is shown in the column name in angle brackets with character of ‘=‘ before the proper number (e.g. [=0] or [=99]), without spaces or another characters. The aftermath of the specification of the unknown value in the given column is that the SimplexDivide application ignores the columns with unknown values during the evaluation of the curves similarity. Said in other words, the curves similarity degree depends only on known values.
